Today we welcomed Mookie to the rescue. A kind person rescued him from a life of neglect and she contacted us for help. Mookie is suffering from a bad case of bumblefoot, which is an infection that can happen in the feet when a small animal is housed in unsanitary conditions. Both of Mookie’s front feet are very swollen and sore. He is on antibiotics and pain medication, and is being housed on towels and fleece to provide a soft, dry, footing so he can heal and be as comfortable as possible.
