Pip came into our care just about two years ago when her guardian passed away. She was to be surrendered to a shelter in the GTA that indicated she would be euthanized. Pip was diabetic and 12 years old: a combination that made her unadoptable in their eyes. Instead Pip came to us and was sponsored by Project Pet Rescue. She was a difficult case, requiring a lot of trips to the vet, tinkering with her medication and food, and a very dedicated and watchful foster home. Lucky for her she landed a spot in one of our most dedicated foster homes and she received incredible care living a happy life with other feline, and canine, friends.

Sadly, Pip’s time with us came to an end last week when an urgent vet trip due to laboured breathing unexpectedly became her final visit. After a day in clinic and interventions, Pip’s condition deteriorated rapidly. We helped her on her journey. We are grateful for our time with Pip and for the care and compassion of her amazing foster home. Rest easy, sweet Pip.
